IDHHC is pleased to welcome Zahra Bhaijee to our Communications Services department! Zahra brings her amazing communication skills to the role of booking coordinator with the Interpreting Services program. Her role with us is to help ensure that Deaf and hard of hearing clients have access to ASL interpreters and captions for meetings, event and activities.
In the past, Zahra provided education for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing, both in schools and communities. She's been involved with various organizations, showing her dedication to accessibility and education.
Outside of work, Zahra is passionate about providing ASL to parents and children of DHH and teaching adults, especially those who use English as a second language. She believes education can make a big difference in people's lives. Zahra also enjoys collecting wall art and proudly displays wall art pieces from Deaf and Hard of Hearing artists she meets and also enjoys documentaries/real-life movies.
