The Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre provides consultation, support, and guidance to all Vancouver Island Businesses and organizations committed to creating inclusive workplace environments, services, and events.
We seek to collaborate with like-minded organizations, businesses, and government agencies to amplify our impact and create a more accessible and inclusive world for everyone.
Our Communication Services Team provides ASL interpreting, captioning, and translation services all over the province, while our employment team works with businesses to coordinate employment for Deaf, DeafBlind and hard of hearing individuals.
We offer a variety of workshops and classes for the community teaching ASL, hearing health awareness, communication strategies, employment training, support groups, and featured workshops with professionals in the top of their field such as Gael Hannan.
