Linda Bradford – VLOG Transcript
Hello my name is Linda Bradford. As a newly retired public servant I am thrilled to have the opportunity to stand for election with the Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre.
I’m thrilled to be able to bring my experiences within the social sector to the organization and to share my experiences with strategic planning, contract management, business transformation, and change.
I also have a great deal of experience in building teams and to bringing people together.
My experiences are backed up by my formal education in project management, and I have my Masters in Economics.
I have a number of important people in my life who are profoundly hard of hearing and I’ve seen how they have gone through their various experiences and each experience has been different.
Given that people experience hearing difficulties in different ways, I really recognize that solutions need to be adapted for individuals and they need to be unique.
I look forward to the opportunity of working with the various board members, to learning from the membership community, working closely with the staff and learning from them.
